Ground broken on new Automated site in Drury
Building commenced on new 115,000 automated pallet site in Drury.

Over the past 3 years, the entire New Zealand supply chain has been exceedingly stretched which has impacted both businesses and consumers right down to getting day-to-day groceries to kiwi families. While these challenges caused a notable reduction in service and increase in cost for various stakeholders - especially within retail and grocery - Cardinal has used this opportunity to reshape sustainable logistics practices with significant investment in bringing proven automation found across the globe, to New Zealand. This is project "Perfect Pallet".
Proof of Cardinal's relentless pursuit of innovation and technology is demonstrated in the upcoming opening of their groundbreaking fully automated 115,000 pallet warehouse with state-of-the-art goods-to-person picking technology, ensuring a 400% increase in order processing times and accuracy. The new Auckland site is opening in stages between 2023-2025 and will reshape the speed, accuracy and safety of delivering goods in full and on time nationwide.
